Taking its namesake from the Cayman Islands, our Cayman collection is inspired by the developing trend in architecture called Tropical Brutalism. Incorporating the use of natural and sustainable materials paired with the rigid geometry of mid-century and brutalist design, this trend has grown out of equatorial nations celebrating their newfound freedoms, wealth and opportunity. Cold and intimidating spaces and fixtures are transformed into lush, warm, modern designs. Cayman by Varaluz features the characteristic use of rigid geometry, warm natural materials and open spaces.
